For more than forty-five years, West Point Military Academy graduate Mark Gordon Smith has traveled across Italy; for almost two decades, he has led group tours spanning all regions of Italy. From these experiences, he has written several books about traveling in Italy. Mark also teaches classes at colleges using two textbooks he authored in support of those programs:Travel in Italy and Art and History of Renaissance Florence. He continues to present to travel groups, community service groups, and others interested in informative and entertaining presentations about the food, art, architecture, culture, and travel of Italy.
